James Bond and Godzilla were long lost cousins because both were buried by an avalanche.
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Bond was undercover to find the villain Blofeld. Not only did he find Blofeld’s base of operations but Blofeld had a master plan to spread some sort of bacteria to damage the livestock of the world. However, Bond was discovered by Blofeld. Blofeld knew Bond was undercover and as a result had Bond locked up. Bond managed to escape to a village only to be followed by Blofeld’s men.
At the village, Bond’s love interest got him away. However, by the next day both of them were pursued in a ski chase down a mountain which proved to be a disaster.
During that chase, there was an area of the mountain in which noise could not be made because it would cause an avalanche. Blofeld seized the opportunity and fired an explosive device into the air which caused an avalanche. Because of that Bond and his love interest were skiing for their lives only to be buried by it. Bond survived only to see his love interest taken away.

Now at that moment Bond most likely didn’t realize that he had a long-lost cousin who suffered the same fate years before and that was Godzilla. In the movie Godzilla Raids Again, Godzilla battled his dinosaur monster foe, Anguirus.
After destroying Anguirus at the Osaka city battle, Godzilla left the city in flames. Godzilla then found himself on an iceberg in which the Japanese Self Defense force pursued him. At this iceberg, the JSDF fighter jets tried everything to kill Godzilla. Godzilla took out numerous jets with his atomic breath. However, because of a friend to a member on the JSDF sacrificed himself by pursing Godzilla, it was discovered once his plane crashed into the iceberg’s mountain, an avalanche could be caused. The JSDF began using their missiles on the higher edges of the iceberg to cause an avalanche of ice to fall. Eventually they defeated Godzilla by burying the creature (However, Godzilla did escape from this in the next movie). At this point Godzilla never realized that he would have a cousin in James Bond suffering the same fate years later.
