Update : Three People Shot in Long Branch

Various reports that a shooting has taken place in Long Branch


Three people have been shot Wednesday night in Long Branch. According to various reports, the shooting took place on Coleman Avenue.

Police responded to the scene around 9:11 p.m. and found a 26-year-old Long Branch resident on the sidewalk. The man was rushed to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Public Information Officer Charles Webster.

Webster said police were later contacted by a different hospital reporting two gunshot victims, a 30-year-old Eatontown man and a 47-year-old Long Branch man, had arrived at the emergency department with non-life-threatening injuries.

The shootings are being investigated by the Long Branch Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
