Ms Talesha Crank who is one of the candidate on the ticket of One Asbury Park attended and spoke at the City Council meeting the night before the shooting outside of her home. Ms. Crank is a community leader and is tired of the gun fire and the unsafe environment that the residents have to endure. The unsafe environment has finally hit right in front of her home yesterday evening on Mattison ave while her older son Christopher was watching his elementary school sister.

“I live here with my children….how do I explain this to them….when we walk down our driveway every morning as we walk to the bus stop???”

Talesha son Christopher who was watching his little sister said he heard a big bomb approximately 7:20pm. He immediately knew something wasn’t right. He went into a survival mode and was able to grab his little sister and take her upstairs and told her to stay down. After he got his sister to safety he was able to call 911. The son realized that there was two wounded men. One victim was shot near the back yard. Christopher could tell that the victim was young. He looked like he was in his thirties. Another man who was older was shot across the street on Madison Ave. He stated that it looked like the guy didn’t survive because he had no movement at all, his body look lifeless. This was an dramatic experience for anybody kid’s to have endure. You can’t even play in your back yard with out the fear of gun fire.
