Family members said Armoni Sexton, 15, was killed in a shooting Saturday night in Paterson, reports NJ.com.

Armoni’s aunt, Rosemary Sexton, told nj.com in an interview that the Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology (PCSST) student had a bright future as a basketball player.

“He was leading to many great things,” she said. “A life taken too short.”

Paterson Police responded to the shooting at 230 Rosa Parks Blvd., on the corner of Godwin Avenue, at about 8:37 p.m. Monday, Capt. Heriberto Rodriguez said. Four people were shot.

Rodriguez said a 15-year-old was pronounced dead at 11:55 a.m. Sunday. The other three, two males and a female, are expected to survive.

Sexton was on his way home to make his 9 p.m. curfew, his aunt said.
