State Police and Monmouth County detectives, along with the New Jersey State Police T.E.A.M.S Unit, executed a search warrant for Powell’s home on Wednesday. Powell was found to be hiding in an apartment in East Orange, NJ where he was found and arrested.

Powell has been charged with two counts of attempted homicide and other weapons charges.

At approximately 11 p.m. on Monday, two males from Neptune — a 23 year old and a 24 year old — were shot in Lot 4 of the concert venue’s parking area and were taken by helicopter from the scene, State Police said.

Both victims were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune and were still listed as being in critical condition but stable condition as of Thursday morning, police said.

A concert, part the Forest Hills Drive Tour featuring artists J Cole, Big Sean, YG and Jeremih, was held at the PNC Bank Arts Center earlier that night.

A witness, Mike Lefanto, told WABC-TV that he heard gunshots after some guys made a comment to a girl in the parking lot about her body.

“She turns around and addresses them about it,” said Lefanto, who was with his 13-year-old daughter. “Moments later, we hear pop, pop, pop. And my daughter looks at me. She’s like, ‘What was that?’ I’m, like, just firecrackers.”

Another witness Omayma Bougdour, 18, told the New York Daily News that it started over an argument in the parking lot.

Bougdour said she heard the gunshots and then sprinted to her car, along with others in the parking lot, according to the newspaper.

“Everyone started sprinting and stampeding,” she told the newspaper.

According to the State Police, there were more than 100 arrests at the concert in addition to the shooting incident.
