The T. Thomas Fortune Project Committee announces its upcoming fundraiser that includes, a distinguished Keynote Speaker to be announced. This benefit will be presented on Friday, June 12th from 6PM- 10PM at Two River Theater, located at 21 Bridge Avenue in Red Bank Tickets are $75 in advance no tickets sold at the door.

The T. Thomas Fortune house is located at 94 Drs. James Parker Blvd, Red Bank, and is one of only two National Historic Landmarks in the New Jersey, significant to African American Heritage. There are a total of 57 National Historic Landmarks in the State.Fortune purchased the home in 1901 giving it the name of Maple Hill and it was there he began to do some of his most important work – to change the social
landscape of America. The Fortune Family remained in the home until 1913.

For this reason, the T. Thomas Fortune Project Committee was established two years ago, in a concerted effort to save and preserve the home. And therefore, we are calling on you to help us create a destination that everyone can be proud of. After all, it’s not an everyday occurrence that a National Historic Landmark is in the midst of one’s community. But here in Monmouth County we have one.

Here is your opportunity to join the collaborative effort to save this National Historic Landmark,by joining with us at the “Finding Fortune: Preserving a National Historic Landmark” fundraiser, on June 12, 2015 at Two River Theater in Red Bank, from 6-10 pm

They need your help to make this dream a reality. Further information on being a sponsor* and/or tickets can be found on our website, thomasfortunehouse.weebly.com
