Long Branch, NJ – Several protestors gathered on Liberty St. (Memorial Pwky) & Broadway, after marching from City Hall, to protest about police brutality, the injustices, and flaws in our system when in comes to those in black and brown communities.
Protestors voice their concerns
Since the decision was made by the grand jury that Officer Darren Wilson will not be indicted for fatally shooting unarmed 18-year-old, Michael Brown, many protests have been led across the country to voice their frustrations on an issue that is continuously swept under the rug. As one protestor Tone Morris, of Long Branch, said best,
“We’re tired of being unheard voices”
The group states they will be protesting on the same corner every weekend.
