Long Branch Residents & Businesses Affected By Hurricane Irene Can Now Recieve Aid

Several days after President Obama declared Monmouth County a disaster area, the Long Branch Office of Emergency Management announced that residents and business affected by Hurricane Irene can receive aid.

Long Branch, NJ – Several days after President Obama declared Monmouth County a disaster area, the Long Branch Office of Emergency Management announced that residents and business affected by Hurricane Irene can receive aid.

“They do not have to wait for a disaster recovery center to open and do not have to be present at a disaster recovery center,” a Code Red alert message stated on Tuesday afternoon.

Affected residents can register with FEMA for aid by calling 1-800-621-3362 or can register online at http://www.disasterassistance.gov

The disaster number residents will need to apply is DR-4021.

Businesses affected by the hurricane can contact the Small Business Administration (SBA) at http://www.sba.gov or by calling 800-659-2955 and referring to SBA Declaration Number 12780.
