More than two dozen musical performers will join with environmental groups for the 42nd Annual NJ Friends of Clearwater Festival, on September 9 and 10 at Brookdale Community College. The free event, designed to entertain and inform, is New Jersey’s oldest and largest music and environmental festival.

The festival celebrates the environment with music and song on three stages along with exhibits and other useful information about how to protect our nature resources. The theme is “Fight to Keep Earth Great”.

“Now more than ever, citizens need information about ways to protect the environment in their daily lives and to engage in public discussion of environmental policy, locally and nationally.” said Chrissie Goedkoop, President of New Jersey Friends of Clearwater. “Our goal is to provide that information along with great music and traditional summer fun.”

The weekend event will be on the lawn at Larrison Hall Commons on the Brookdale campus in Lincroft from 11 am to 7 pm on Saturday and 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday, September 10. This family-friendly festival also offers a children’s area, arts and crafts, food and other vendors. Festival-goers should bring a chair or blanket.
