A new statistical study on violent crimes in New Jersey has been released and the town you live in may have made the list.

Information recently published by NJ Monthly, compiled the researcher at Leflein Associates, an independent research firm based in Ringwood.

Some of the towns come as no surprise as Camden tops in the list, Asbury Park comes in at number 4. Long Branch ranks at 38 on the list, where one violent crime is reported for every 250 people. Just to give you an idea how these towns fair, there are 565 municipalities in the state of New Jersey.
