The T. Thomas Fortune house is located at 94 Drs. James Parker Blvd, Red Bank, and is one
of only two National Historic Landmarks in the New Jersey, significant to African American Heritage. There are a total of 57 National Historic Landmarks in the State.

Fortune purchased the home in 1901 giving it the name of Maple Hill and it was there he began to do some of his most important work – to change the social landscape of America. The Fortune Family remained in the home until 1913.

The T. Thomas Fortune Project Committee was established two years ago, in a concerted effort to save and preserve the home. We are calling on you to help us create a destination that everyone can be proud of. After all, it’s not an everyday occurrence that a National Historic Landmark is in the midst of one’s community. But here in Monmouth County we have one.

Here is your opportunity to join the collaborative effort to save this National Historic Landmark, by joining with us at the “Finding Fortune: Preserving a National Historic Landmark” fundraiser, on June 12, 2015 at Two River Theater in Red Bank, from 6-10 pm

Further information on being a sponsor* and/or tickets can be found on our website, thomasfortunehouse.weebly.com
